Helga Goetze transformed handcraft into an activist practice. The collaborative quilt, created during the exhibition, is a collective textile composed of many individual squares, each carrying a personal message.

Every contribution counts—whether a quiet line of embroidery or a bold slogan. In this workshop, participants will collaboratively design quilt sections and learn various techniques such as embroidery, appliqué, patchwork, and smocking. They will also gain fascinating insights into the Craftivism movement, which politically reinterprets textiles and thereby occupies social spaces. Materials are provided. Come along; you can join at any time.

The workshop accompanies the exhibition "Female Being, Intellectually Versatile, Seeks – Helga Goetze."
