An open conference for experts in the theory and practice of experimental archaeology, and for anyone with an interest in the subject.

The focus is on the opportunities and challenges involved in presenting the past through living history and museum theatre. The conference will explore how authenticity, interpretation and the practical framework of experimental archaeology and museum work can be reconciled.

The conference is organised jointly by EXARC and the Museumsdorf Düppel specialist team at the Berlin City Museum.

EXARC is the world’s leading international network and association for archaeological open-air museums, experimental archaeology, ancient technology and history education. EXARC members receive a special discount on the registration fee.

Online participation in the conference is free of charge for everyone.

The conference will be held in English.
