Spoken Matter is a publishing project and label dedicated to spoken word, acoustic texts and poetic experiments. For their live radio event, the two editors, Andreas Bülhoff and Marc Matter, invite you to an evening in which an experimental audio piece will take shape through a blend of radio, podcasts, readings, short performances and interviews.

Spoken Matter
This time, the guests are Lisa James and Mara Genschel. Lisa James works with field recordings and text, which she weaves live into a performance combining soundscapes and reading. Mara Genschel brings excerpts from her ‘main character moments’ to the stage, which she produced shortly beforehand for SWR.
As always, it’s likely to be a bit cringe-worthy. The evening will be rounded off with a deep dive into a collection of acoustic internet finds: text-to-speech memes that are usually spammed in computer game streams and chats and have developed their own poetic language.
