Blooming rhododendrons, daffodils, hyacinths, 300 varieties of tulips in all shapes and colours - at the "Späth'er Frühling" garden market, spring bloomers transform the historic Späth grounds into a unique experience of nature.

Ideas for the garden, patio and balcony take centre stage. In the tree quarter, you will find many rarities and special topiaries among the 100 tree varieties with small crowns for the home and city garden.

Future trees such as the iron tree, Turkey oak, field maple, amber tree and red maple line the path.

Professional gardening tips and immersion in the history of Späth

Whether sun, shade or drought: Späth'schen nurseries provide advice on plants suitable for every garden area. The gardeners demonstrate the pruning of fruit trees and show the special features of pome and stone fruit, vines and berries. They will also be explaining the craft of tree grafting. During a nursery technology demonstration, they show how a tree with roots is carefully removed from the ground.

In the historic Kontor building, Späth'sche Baumschulen will be opening its Späth archive to the public for the first time. Visitors can immerse themselves in more than 300 years of company history in short presentations. Rhyme speaker Theo Theodor walks around the grounds and entertains with Späth anecdotes in the guise of company founder Christoph Späth.

Live music and hands-on children's programme

The Monbijou Theatre and storyteller Ellen Luckas perform open-air in the House of Trees. Children can experience nature and the garden and pot a future tree to take home. At the carp pond, they can try their hand at fishing under supervision. Live music creates a lively atmosphere and invites you to dance on the festival meadow.
