Concert recording by the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra

Enjoy the heavenly sounds of a virtuoso orchestral concert whilst gazing up at the starry night sky, and experience the vastness of the cosmos through fascinating melodies from the repertoire of the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra.

On 24 January, you will hear three very special pieces: first, the world premiere of a new work by the Iranian composer Sara Abazari. Next, the fantastic Russian-American violinist Maria Ioudenitch will deliver a moving plea for love in troubled times with Leonard Bernstein’s Violin Concerto based on Plato’s *Symposium* – and finally, Richard Strauss’s famous late-Romantic tone poem *Thus Spoke Zarathustra*, Op. 30, loosely based on Friedrich Nietzsche, will be performed. Vladimir Jurowski conducts the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra.

The programme features a recording from 29 November 2026 at the Konzerthaus Berlin.

The Spatial Sound System in the Planetarium Hall, with its 49 loudspeakers and 4 subwoofers, combined with the fascinating starry sky created by the Zeiss projector, creates an overwhelming experience for both the eyes and the ears.

Look forward to breathtaking sounds beneath the marvellous starry sky!
