Prague Czech Symphony Orchestra

With their program “Slavic Romanticism,” the Czech Symphony Orchestra Prague, conducted by Martin Peschik, presents the best-known and most beautiful compositions by Smetana and Dvořák—the most prominent representatives of classical Czech music—and another compositional genius, Pyotr I. Tchaikovsky, whose musical adaptation of the tragic love story “Romeo and Juliet” ranks among the most significant works of the Romantic era. Smetana’s timeless classic “The Moldau” will also be performed.

The second half of the concert features Antonín Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9, “From the New World,” composed in New York.

The Czech Symphony Orchestra performs with great intensity, befitting the Romantic era, making this program a unique concert experience.
