On society's approach to sexual violence
Those affected by sexual violence are often stigmatized, suspected of lying, or at least blamed. Most victims are ashamed of the acts committed against them, while the perpetrators, as eternal winners, seem to face few consequences.
Christina Clemm, drawing on her nearly 30 years of experience as a lawyer representing victims of gender-based violence, shares how victims are treated in our society, how press coverage can help but also harm, how the justice system handles these proceedings, and what needs to change.
