How was mail actually transported around the world in the 1920s and 1930s? In this child-friendly introduction to the Lufthansa exhibition, you’ll learn all about the adventures of early airmail. In the creative workshop that follows, the children will fold, stamp and make their own postcards and mail art.

How did letters actually travel before there were emails and messaging apps? In this creative workshop, you’ll set off together on an exciting journey of discovery through the exhibition “Lufthansa. Berlin-Tempelhof 1926–1945” and learn how mail was transported around the world by aeroplane in the 1920s and 1930s.
Creative workshop: Discover & Create!
As well as a child-friendly introduction to the exhibition’s themes, the children will get creative themselves: they’ll fold envelopes, design their own stamps and postcards, and try their hand at imaginative mail art.

The creative workshop takes place on the following days:

The creative workshop is open on these days from 11 am to 2 pm. Feel free to pop in at any time!

Primary school: approx. 6–12 years
Ticket:
A standard ticket for the exhibition ‘Lufthansa. Berlin-Tempelhof 1926–1945’ is required to take part in the creative workshop.
Adults: 5 EUR, children aged 6–14: 3 EUR
