Dancing together, meeting new people
SALSA IM KIEZ is creating a meeting place in Berlin for anyone who loves salsa, music and dancing together, or who would like to discover these for the first time. The focus is on the joy of movement, socialising and the chance to meet new people in a relaxed atmosphere. No previous experience is required – what counts most here is a love of dancing.

There is a particular focus on the basics of salsa. In a two-hour session, Simon and Karl focus specifically on the needs of beginners. With plenty of patience and at a gentle pace, they teach the most important basics, making it easy to get started in the world of salsa.
Opening week from 2 to 5 November 2026
To kick things off, SALSA IM KIEZ is hosting three free events where anyone interested can find out more about what’s on offer and have a go at dancing themselves:
- Monday, 2 November 2026: Salsa Caleña 7.00 pm – 9.00 pm
- Tuesday, 3 November 2026: Salsa Cubana 6.00 pm – 8.00 pm
- Thursday, 5 November 2026: Acrobatic Dance, Salsa 4 Socials & Salsa Practice 6.00 pm – 9.00 pm
All three events are free of charge as part of the opening week. This offer applies exclusively to these three dates and does not constitute an individual taster week for new participants.
SALSA IM KIEZ aims to strengthen neighbourly ties and enrich the neighbourhood through music, movement and shared dance experiences.
