Inspired by Donna Haraway’s feminist theory of “Staying with the Trouble,” the performers seek answers to this question by insisting on the creative and generative potential of difference and friction. They explore the deep longing to merge with the other and construct temporary structures that gain stability through resistance.
The performers move through a space of disorderly encounters that breathes with desire, repulsion, and fascination. They weave a fabric that fills the gaps in the institutionalized forms through which social life is structured. A fabric that is equally fascinating and uncanny in its complexity, shimmering with irresistible erotic energy—that life force that brings people together with a voice that lets them trust and take risks.
