Thanks to historically informed performance practice, modern orchestras are rediscovering the Baroque soundscape—with a keen sense of style and palpable enthusiasm.

Baroque Sounds for the Advent Season
Soprano soloist Anna Prohaska lends a special radiance to the festive and heartfelt vocal parts from four Handel oratorios, as well as to Bach’s poignant cantata “Falsche Welt, dir trau ich nicht” (“False World, I Do Not Trust You”), whose message remains relevant to this day.
