History and stories with Neukölln contemporary witness Alexander Kulpok

To mark 650 years of Britz, the Britzer Weinkultur association, in cooperation with the Reinickendorf Association for Education, Culture and International Relations, is hosting a special reading on Friday, 22 August 2025.

The special features of the Neukölln district of Britz seem to have been largely forgotten. The Fritz Karsen School was the first comprehensive school in Germany. Architectural world heritage is associated with Walter Gropius and the Britz Horseshoe Estate.

The list of famous Britz residents ranges from Marianne Rosenberg to Adolf Eichmann.

Our Britz: In 1963, the extension of the underground line from Tegel to Britz-Süd was inaugurated. On 22 August, the Förderkreis Reinickendorf (Reinickendorf Support Group) will also commemorate this 66-kilometre-long connection with the Neukölln contemporary witness and will host an event at its partner association, the Britzer Weinkultur am Koppelweg.
