At the heart of the band is singer and guitarist Johnny Borrell, who founded Razorlight in 2002. Together with bassist Carl Dalemo, guitarist Bjön Ågren, and drummer Shïan Smith-Pancorvo, the band quickly made a name for itself in the London underground scene. Their debut album, “Up All Night,” released in 2004, immediately reached number three on the UK album charts. The pressure eventually became too much for Smith-Pancorvo, and Andy Burrows took over on drums. With this lineup, Razorlight created what may be their best work: while the creative collaboration between Borrell and Burrows was often turbulent, it was always marked by a brilliant magic.

Their second album, *Razorlight*, released in 2006, then broke all records: number one on the charts, multiple nominations for the BRIT Awards, and five-time platinum status.
