Once a month, radio3 (rbb) invites listeners to gather in the heart of Berlin, beneath the S-Bahn arches of Friedrichstraße, to listen to music and discover new sounds. Above, the trains rattle by; below, exquisite drinks and extraordinary recordings are enjoyed in an intimate atmosphere with brilliant sound.

Die radio3 Listening Lounge
On 30 March, Henrike Leißner welcomes Berlin jazz musician Atrin Madani.
At just over 20 years of age, the singer with his velvety, light voice has become an established figure on the jazz scene. His debut album ‘Where are we now?’ was nominated for the German Record Critics' Award, he performs with renowned musicians such as Lisa Bassenge and Django Bates, and tours all over the world.
At his concerts, he sings jazz standards, songs by David Bowie, Take That, Hildegard Knef, songs by Johannes Brahms or by Iranian composer Anoushirvan Rohani – in short: everything his heart desires.
In each edition of the Listening Lounge, the audience gets to know musicians who can be heard on radio3 Primetime. Radio3 presenters Henrike Leißner and Florian Rumberg talk to them about exciting new releases, powerful voices, curious covers and the best tracks from our music programme.
