THE QUIET SPACE returns to KRAFTWERK BERLIN, providing a place of tranquility in Berlin-Mitte for four weeks.

The Tresor Foundation Berlin is opening the monumental concrete halls of Kraftwerk Berlin for the second summer edition of The Quiet Space, transforming them into a sanctuary dedicated entirely to mental decompression, relaxation, and collective well-being.

The Quiet Space offers a radical retreat from the constant noise and digital hustle of modern city life.

The former cogeneration plant is transformed into a raw, peaceful refuge designed to soothe the nervous system through spatial design and acoustic silence.

Turn off your cell phones. Arrive. Take a deep breath.

To preserve the space’s unique atmosphere, visitors are invited to leave their screens behind and keep their cell phones in their pockets. Cameras and commercial photography are not permitted. Instead of capturing memories, The Quiet Space invites you to be fully present in the moment—to sit, breathe, reflect, or draw.

Last year’s premiere alone attracted more than 11,000 visitors.

A Living Laboratory for Collective Well-Being

This year, The Quiet Space explores how our urban environment influences health and well-being. In line with Kraftwerk Berlin’s long-term transition toward a climate-friendly energy supply and sustainable district heating networks, the installation examines the potential of monumental concrete structures to transform into energy-efficient cooling oases for the community at the height of summer.
