POSITIONS Berlin Art Fair highlights

  • The venue: Held in Hangar 7 of the former Tempelhof Airport, this grand space gives the event a truly one-of-a-kind atmosphere.

  • Global representation: Artists and galleries from over 30 countries, including Spain, Japan, the USA and South Korea are featured.

  • Special exhibitions and awards: Alongside the main fair, visitors can enjoy special curated exhibitions and witness award ceremonies that celebrate emerging talent and outstanding booth presentations.

  • Art for every taste: From contemporary to classical modernism, the fair showcases a wide range of art styles and mediums.

  • Part of Berlin Art Week: As the sole art fair partner of Berlin Art Week, POSITIONS is part of a larger cultural event that includes exhibitions across the city at major galleries, museums and institutions.

This year, 2025, there is a special focus on Japan: seven galleries from there are exhibiting at the fair, with a total of twelve Asian galleries represented.

Twenty-two galleries from Berlin will be showcasing their most important artistic positions and using the fair platform as a place for communication, sales and exchange at their own location. The gallery presentations will be complemented by a diverse and high-quality supporting programme featuring special exhibitions, award ceremonies and talks.

Discover the POSITIONS Berlin Art Fair

The POSITIONS Berlin Art Fair has been a cornerstone of the Berlin art scene since 2014. The fair's mission is simple: to present a broad and independent overview of the international art scene, allowing visitors to engage with new and exciting perspectives.

The fair serves as a platform for both established galleries and emerging talents, creating a space where art can be experienced without the usual categorisations. This encourages dialogue between different artistic approaches and pushes the boundaries of what art can be.

By awarding prizes such as the Berlin Hyp Award, the Zilkens Best Booth Award and the HEUSSEN Perspectives Award, POSITIONS recognises and promotes creative excellence. These awards provide a significant boost for young artists and galleries, helping them gain international recognition and establish their careers.
