Fucking sensible!
"Fucking Sensitive!" – this is the motto of the 9th PorYes Award, which will take place in Berlin from October 18 to 20, 2025. Over three days, the sex-positive movement will continue its history of sexualities and challenge existing positions with feminist humor and political ambition.

The leitmotif combines meaningfulness with sensitivity, intellectual concepts with emotional experience – qualities that the nominated filmmakers deliberately use as political tools.
The 2025 PorYes Nominees
Amadalia Liberté (Chile) devotes an ecosexual film to dissidents of all kinds, while Mahx Capacity (USA) transforms trauma into body-based joy and political action in The (W)Hole. Krista Beinstein (Austria), sex chronicler and activist, has been provoking for decades with her staging of female pleasure. Berlin-based filmmaker and performer Lofi Cherry (Sweden) focuses on unconventional underground porn, while Royal Fetish Films (USA), with an all-Black crew, engages in political work and engages in a wide range of educational activities on racism in pornography.The Freudenfluss Network
The PorYes Award honors alternative approaches, diverse genders, and consensual sexualities. Outstanding films and lifetime achievements by individuals from different generations and cultures are recognized.Pioneers such as Candida Royalle, Annie Sprinkle & Joseph Kramer, Monika Treut, Shine Louise Houston, and queer porn stars such as Jiz Lee, Buck Angel, and Bishop Black have already been honored. The feminist pornography award was initiated by sexologist and editor Laura Méritt together with photographer and sex activist Polly Fannlaf. It is organized by the Freudenfluss Network, which advocates for pleasurable sexual fulfillment as a basic human need beyond mere reproduction.
The public awards ceremony at HAU Hebbel am Ufer is open exclusively to adults and will be hosted by Laura Méritt and Janina Rook. The legendary after-show party is a traditional part of the festival. A Sunday panel with the nominees and a lecture and discussion by Dr. Sven Lewandoski will also take place at Humboldt University.
