Piano Day 2027

“Why does the world need a Piano Day? For many reasons. But mostly, because it doesn’t hurt to celebrate the piano and everything surrounding it: performers, composers, piano builders, tuners, movers, and most importantly, the listener.” Nils Frahm.

The annual Piano Day, a global event launched by a group of like-minded individuals, takes place on the 88th day of the year, in reference to the number of keys on the keyboard.

The goal of the event is to create a platform for piano projects of all kinds, to promote musical innovation, and to pass on the centuries-old joy of playing the piano.
