Paul Simon Live 2026 – A Quiet Celebration Tour in Europe
“Seven Psalms” – A Masterpiece Live on Stage
The concert evening begins with a complete live performance of “Seven Psalms,” Paul Simon’s Grammy-nominated album. The 33-minute work, recorded entirely with acoustic instruments and largely performed by Paul Simon himself, has been hailed by The Guardian as a “masterful suite” and by The Times of London as a “remarkable album.”
“Seven Psalms” truly comes to life live, as the work intentionally allows space for the audience’s perception and silence, creating a unique shared experience.
Greatest Hits and Rarely Performed Songs
Following "Seven Psalms," Paul Simon presents a diverse set of timeless classics from his career, as well as songs rarely or never before performed live. All pieces have been lovingly rearranged especially for this tour, allowing familiar melodies to be experienced in a fresh sonic light.
A Top-Class Band and Special Arrangements
Paul Simon is accompanied by an outstanding band of eleven internationally renowned musicians, including Mark Stewart (guitar), Bakithi Kumalo (bass), Steve Gadd (drums), Andy Snitzer (saxophone), Jamey Haddad (percussion), Mick Rossi (piano & keyboards), Gyan Riley (guitar), Nancy Stagnitta (flute), Caleb Burhans (viola), and Eugene Friesen (cello).
Together, they create an intimate, richly detailed, and powerful live atmosphere.
Tour Dates and European Stops
The 2026 European tour kicks off in April and comprises a total of 21 concerts. Highlights include two nights at Berlin's Uber Eats Music Hall.
A 140-Minute Show Full of Emotion
The A Quiet Celebration Tour offers a roughly 140-minute show, described by the Toronto Sun as a career-spanning performance in two parts. It combines the fragility and honesty of Paul Simon's music with his unmistakable humor and charm.
The Worcester Telegram describes Paul Simon as a "master storyteller" who brings out the best in his voice and lyrics with clear arrangements and fresh interpretations of old songs.
Paul Simon – An Extraordinary Career
Paul Simon grew up in the Queens borough of New York City and, in 1957, co-founded the duo Simon & Garfunkel with Art Garfunkel. Their international breakthrough came in 1965 with "The Sound of Silence." After the duo split in 1970, Simon launched one of the most successful solo careers in music history.
His greatest achievements include "Still Crazy After All These Years" (1975), a Billboard number-one album that won two Grammys, and the multi-award-winning "Graceland" (1986). With "Seven Psalms," released in 2023, Paul Simon released his 15th solo album, once again demonstrating his undiminished creative power—even at the age of 84.
