Exhibition on parenting, climate change and care in Neukölln

From June 6 to 28, Alisa Tretau and Renata Müller-Tiburtius will present an interactive and intergenerational exhibition project at the Scheune61 project space and Kulturgarten Silent Rixdorf in Neukölln, exploring the themes of parenthood and care in the face of climate and political crises.

As part of the three-week exhibition, visitors are invited to explore and engage with a textile landscape of oversized fabric objects, audio works, films, photographs, and nature installations in both indoor and outdoor spaces.

The works by artists Alisa Tretau, Bárbara Bielitz, Catherine Rose Evans, Constanza Carjaval, Fu-Ho Tsai, Jide Tom Akinleminu, Nina DeFelice, Renata Müller-Tiburtius, and Sophia Muriel interweave everyday life, climate, and care into a playful, political experience.

The accompanying program features a food performance by Saakhi Mansoor, an artistic sock-repair workshop, and, above all, a reading from “Nicht nur Mütter waren schwanger” with Mareice Kaiser and Jacinta Nandi as additional highlights.

In addition to the artistic aspects, the exhibition venue at Kulturgarten Silent Rixdorf is a real highlight for all Berliners—a “hidden gem” in the heart of Neukölln that is well worth exploring.
