UdK students’ Zine Presentation in response to Asad Raza – 2075

As part of the collaboration between the Berlin University of the Arts and the KW Institute for Contemporary Art, a group of students has been investigating specific practices of ecological transformation. In doing so, they have engaged with various methods and narratives, as well as artistic practices that deal intensively with this topic.

Initially, the students worked with the artist Asad Raza during a workshop on his public commission 2075, which transforms the KW’s rear courtyard into a scented garden featuring plants that are expected to be able to withstand the effects of climate change. They then visited forester Hannah Riedel in the Saubucht forest district of the Grunewald and accompanied her and her colleagues in their daily work.

The resulting zine, *Pale Blue*, brings together the students’ work from both encounters and is supplemented by two interviews with Asad Raza and Hannah Riedel.

Participating students: Zocha Bryksy, Ying Chen 陳瑩, Nico Dasenbrock, Ana Maria Draghici, Hande Şevval Emirmahmutoğlu, Loki Forster, Laura Hagemann, Camillo Häusle, Sonya Kurilo, Nine Schröder, Linda Schwanz, Robin Warmbrunn

This project is part of the workshop seminar organised by the UdK Woodworking Workshop and the Examination and Exhibition Organisation Department, Faculty of Fine Arts.
