Open-Air Adventure Theater for Children
Paper cups hiss across the stage like a deadly snake; desk lamps with glowing masks, like hellhounds, refuse entry into the underworld. On the mountain, Sisyphus—a wooden jumping jack—curses his boulder and the meaning of life.
Orpheus must overcome many adventures to save his Eurydice. And the most difficult task: Once he has found her, he must not turn to face her until they have left the underworld.
Andreas Mihan brings all the characters to life, creates sounds and songs, and thus demonstrates how complex worlds can emerge from simple means.
