Many people know Dietrich Buxtehude primarily as an important role model for the younger Johann Sebastian Bach. But the German-Danish composer had an eventful life story and was a real star in the 17th century.
Xaver Schult, the young organist of St. Mary's Church, will impressively demonstrate on the Schuke organ of St. Sophia's Church what Buxtehude's great fame was based on.
