Nature Conservation with Artificial Intelligence
In this workshop, you’ll explore how artificial intelligence can be used to protect ecosystems. After a group introduction to natural climate protection, you’ll develop a basic understanding of AI applications and train your own AI for image recognition—the “GenAI Teachable Machine.”
Afterward, you’ll work in small groups on a challenge: Your AI should be able to distinguish between healthy and damaged forests. What might such an AI look like? What would it need to be able to do? And what might an initial prototype of your idea look like? Let’s find out together.
“AI for the Climate” was developed on behalf of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Climate Action, Nature Conservation, and Nuclear Safety in collaboration with kosmos b. As part of the “AI Box Climate” initiative, the role-playing game can be obtained free of charge thanks to the BMUKN.
