All attention is focused on the objects themselves. This is made possible by a carefully considered set of photographic guidelines: the objects are placed against a neutral background, bathed in even light, and photographed from various angles. It is precisely through this staged naturalness that the objects’ unique character comes to the fore – their elegance, their function, but also their imperfections.
Whether it is the ‘Vampyr’ vacuum cleaner, rag dolls or a sofa: the individuality of these everyday objects, pieces of furniture, toys and works of art becomes apparent, complete with all their signs of wear and tear.
