‘Novemberlicht’ Neighbourhood Festival

The ‘Novemberlicht’ neighbourhood festival is taking place for the eleventh time on the Mittelpromenade, on the corner of Waldstraße and Hermann-Hesse-Straße.

From 2.00 pm to 7.00 pm, guests can look forward to an atmospheric festival for all ages. With music, creative hands-on activities, culinary delights and plenty of opportunities to meet new people, the promenade will once again be transformed into a lively meeting place for the whole neighbourhood. Entry is free.

Light, warmth and community in the dark season

What once began as a neighbourhood initiative has long since become an integral part of social life in Niederschönhausen. ‘Novemberlicht’ brings people together and creates a space where encounters, interaction and shared experiences take centre stage.

Guests can look forward to a varied programme with plenty of activities for young and old alike:

• Live music and a varied stage programme
• Lantern-making and other creative hands-on activities
• Baking bread on a stick over the fire pit
• Fairy-tale readings with stories to inspire the imagination
• A raffle with attractive prizes, where every ticket wins
• Meet the volunteer fire brigade and gain fascinating insights into their work
• Homemade products as well as savoury and sweet treats
• Art, craft and information stalls run by local initiatives, clubs and organisations

“Every year, ‘Novemberlicht’ demonstrates anew just how much solidarity, commitment and warmth there is in Niederschönhausen. Especially during the dark winter months, these gatherings and shared experiences create a sense of warmth and togetherness in the neighbourhood.”

Working together for a vibrant Niederschönhausen

The festival is organised on a voluntary basis by the Kiezrunde Niederschönhausen in cooperation with Outreach gGmbH, as well as numerous associations, foundations, initiatives and committed individuals from the neighbourhood.

The aim of the event is to strengthen neighbourly ties, encourage encounters and create an open space for exchange. Novemberlicht thus exemplifies the diverse commitment and strong sense of community in Niederschönhausen.

Anyone interested is warmly invited to drop by and spend an atmospheric November afternoon together.
