Three centuries of sacred music
From Munich (O.di Lasso), the musical journey takes us through the centuries via Dresden (L. Fehre) to Berlin (F. Kiel). Although geographically only about 600 km and chronologically 300 years separate the composers, their works nevertheless open up worlds of their own: Lasso, in his magnificent eight-part harmony, represents the final flowering of the ethereal Renaissance; Fehre, with his song-like sighs, embodies the transitional period of the Age of Sensibility; and Kiel captures the great emotion of Romanticism.

NoonSong – what is it?
Every Saturday lunchtime, locals, visitors to Berlin, music fans and architecture enthusiasts gather for NoonSong. It is both a concert and a church service, based on the Anglican Evensong. Eight professional singers from the vocal ensemble sirventes berlin perform choral music under the direction of Stefan Schuck. The repertoire ranges from Renaissance music to contemporary compositions.
