No Person Without A World
In Mirjana Vrbaški’s seminar at the Ostkreuz School of Photography, nine photographers embarked on a year-long journey of discovery into the worlds that exist within them and around them. They explored the question of how these personal universes can enrich their work and why the following holds true: the more personal a work is, the more universal it becomes.
In the exhibition “No Person Without a World,” the photographers recount their encounters with places, people, stories, and themselves. They reveal deeply personal experiences—ranging from loss and pain to love and community—that are movingly universal.
