On to new works! Max Slevogt, Bruno Cassirer and Max Liebermann
A creative partnership that played a decisive role in establishing Slevogt as a leading figure of German Impressionism. Cassirer’s involvement as a key player in the cultural world afforded Slevogt artistic freedom and fostered his innovative approaches to the illustrated book. In particular, their shared passion for drawing opened up new creative possibilities.
With the founding of the influential journal *Kunst und Künstler*, Cassirer played a pivotal role in shaping the art-theoretical discourse of his time. Together, they created works that are now regarded as milestones in the field of artistic book illustration.
