What if plants could speak—and we listened? In this project by Cassis B Staudt and Hadmut Bittiger, the focus is on plants that are more than just part of the environment. In Neukölln, the artists meet people from different walks of life—and in every case, a plant plays a role linked to personal memories.

What makes this special is that the plants are not merely displayed but made audible. Their bioelectric impulses are translated into sounds that are constantly changing. At the same time, photographs are created that depict the plants not as decoration but as independent counterparts.

In this way, a quiet, open dialogue develops between humans and plants. Themes such as origin, loss, or new beginnings are present, but not as grand statements, rather as something that resonates in the background.
