Lothar Lusche, an old junk dealer, is in deep trouble: Business is slow, customers are staying away—and now, of all times, a cheeky, gluttonous “circus mouse” has taken up residence in his shop! She dances all over him, steals his food, and throws everything into disarray with her acrobatic antics.
Lusche tries everything to catch her —but the mouse is always one step ahead of him. When he finally snags her, the unexpected happens: The children in the audience take the mouse’s side! Together, they help her escape—and in the end, it turns out that this mouse was Lusche’s greatest stroke of luck.

The mouse wants cheese, the man wants the mouse. A familiar tale, but the Coq Au Vin Children’s Theater knows how to tell the story with unexpected energy. With a mix of theater and acrobatics, even the youngest audience members are immediately swept up in the action, while the show always has a charming wink in store for parents as well. So in the end, it doesn’t really matter who catches whom amid the juggling and floating audience members… This show certainly won’t keep kids in their seats! Wonderful acrobatic theater, authentically staged in a circus tent for young and old alike.

Coq Au Vin brings the circus to the theater and the theater to the circus. Imaginative, spectacular, and guaranteed to be fun, the theater presents children’s stories for ages 3 to 11 centered around the circus. Coq Au Vin’s plays certainly keep kids on their feet, and they eagerly join in the exciting action. Told in a way that appeals to all ages and presented with a touch of humor, the plays also turn into an enjoyable theatrical experience for parents.
