Snow is brilliant; for a while, the world looks completely different. But what if you’ve never seen snow before? Mr Eichhorn, the hedgehog and the bear sleep through the winter, so they don’t know what snow looks like, or how it feels or sounds. The goat said that snow is white, wet and cold – so the three of them set off in search of it; it can’t be that difficult, can it?
A story about friendship, about how one’s own visions and ideas connect with those of others – or perhaps don’t. And, of course, a story about searching and finding. Mr Eichhorn, the hedgehog and the bear are all looking for the same thing, yet each of them finds something different. Just as they’re at a loss, the first snow falls. They don’t need to search for it at all; it falls right under their noses. They just have to stay awake.
