Prague Czech Symphony Orchestra
In November, the Czech Symphony Orchestra Prague will present two masterful, fateful works on the stage of the Berlin Philharmonie: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s moving “Requiem in D minor” and Ludwig van Beethoven’s powerful “Fate Symphony” No. 5.
Mozart’s Requiem is a choral masterpiece whose origins are shrouded in mystery—a story that makes the piece all the more fascinating and emotionally stirring. Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5 in C minor is perhaps the most famous symphony in music history, not least because of its first four notes—about which Beethoven himself is said to have remarked: “Thus does Fate knock at the gate.”
