A fictional and interactive audio journey into the future

Step into a possible future with your headphones on: This audio tour takes you to the original sites of today’s democracy. How has the “rule of the people” evolved by the year 2046?

Walk through the government district

Congratulations! The Agency for Applied Future Studies has selected you! In a small group, you’ll be sent to the year 2046 in a time machine. Your mission? As undercover democracy testers, you’ll investigate democratic innovations in the government district, act as advocates for nature, exercise veto rights on behalf of future generations, and test participation by lottery.

The goal? Find out whether these ideas can make democracy fairer, more sustainable, and more diverse in the future.

The audio walk takes place outdoors. The event will go ahead even in light rain. Appropriate outerwear may be required; please bring your own weatherproof clothing (umbrella, rain jacket).

Please note that because the audio walk takes place outdoors, it may be canceled up to 3 hours before the start of the event due to adverse weather conditions (e.g., heavy rain, thunderstorms, storms, heat), in which case a guided tour of the Futurium will be offered instead.

Duration: 75 minutes
