Albertina has stolen something! And it’s now in her tummy: a proper cheesecake, a birthday cheesecake. She’ll have to apologise, won’t she? But why, actually? Can the mysterious Belluccia Bellucci, a supposed chicken fairy, help her with this? And what role does the gluttonous mole hero Marvin play in all this – a hero who doesn’t even shy away from eagles? A whirlwind of back-and-forth ensues.
About the play
“The Vanished Cheesecakes” is the first play in a series now comprising five plays at the KungerKiezTheater, entitled “Albertina and Her Friends”, and premiered back in 2017 (Part 2: “The Evil Eagle Wizard” from 2019 – Part 3: “The Mysterious Wishing Tub” from 2022 – Part 4: “The Mysterious Christmas Tree” from 2023 and, finally, Part 5: “Help, the Worms Have Gone” from 2024).
Many children have grown up with these plays, as there have been regular revivals with different casts and directors, as well as audiobooks for Parts 1 and 2.
Now they’re starting all over again. With this production, we want to reimagine and perform Karl Koch’s play anew. Stay tuned and look forward to Albertina, Henriette Huhn and Marvin Maulwurf.
