A special race day will take place at the Mariendorf trotting track on 22 November.

It has long been a firm tradition: on Remembrance Sunday at the Mariendorf racecourse, we always pay tribute to those people who, throughout their lives, were devoted to and passionate about trotting and who promoted the sport.

This will, of course, be the case again this year. At the Mariendorf event on 22 November, all the races will be named after those figures who played a key role in shaping events at the Tempelhof track. All the prize-giving ceremonies will be conducted by the relatives and closest friends of the deceased.

The race day begins at 12.30 pm and admission is free. The sporting highlight is the race in the so-called Gold Series, which offers prize money totalling 20,000 euros. In this competition, the best sulky drivers from Germany and neighbouring countries will compete against one another with their horses.

Refreshments will, of course, be available for racecourse visitors. The popular Tea House and the Stable Casino, for example, are no longer just insider tips; delicious food and drinks are served there.
