Sound has many voices – Maschineller gives film a new sound. Like a puzzle, an acoustic-visual landscape unfolds: the transitions are fluid, sound and image in dialogue.
The music of Maschineller is a free interplay between jazz and third stream, interspersed with cinematic quotations. Live, it becomes a sound collage for moving images.
This audiovisual interplay tells of musical and visual compositions that the musicians themselves arrange cinematically. The band name, from acronym to compositional design, captures the effective collaging – the diverse voices of Maschineller: m elodious picturesque – a tonal allegorical – s oft standard – c charming chaotic – h eilig heavenly – i ndustrial intellectual – n oir non-conformist – e rdig sublime – l ässig detached – l aut slow – e isig enamelled – r asant calm.
The concert at Eschschloraque will be accompanied by a film and visuals.
Melodious, picturesque, atonal, allegorical, charmingly chaotic – Maschineller is an atmospheric trip between jazz and third stream that allows sound and image to enter into dialogue.
