The “Literary Coffee Chat” presents: “Cemetery and Farewell Paths”

The author, who was confronted with the finiteness of life at an early age due to the untimely death of her mother, takes you on a journey through these places of peace with poems, short stories, and images. The selection is enlivened by inscriptions she has seen on the gravestones.

Brunhild Hauschild, born in 1953, is a trained economist. She writes "common poetry" and short stories. Her collection of stories, "When the Shoes Get Too Big," was published in 2012. The follow-up, "Seasons – Time Sound," contains poems and stories and was published in 2016. Her writings have also appeared in several anthologies. She reads and lives in Berlin.

Literary Coffee Chat – for over 20 years

Since February 2004, the Ehm-Welk Central Library has regularly hosted the "Literary Coffee Chat" – a popular event format for people aged 50 and over. What once began with classic readings from world literature has long since developed into a diverse cultural program: plays, readings, fairy tales, shadow theater, paper theater, and much more ensure entertaining afternoons.

A Place of Encounter
The event has become a regular meeting place for many. Some guests have been attending regularly since the first events.

Coffee, tea, and homemade cakes create a cozy atmosphere conducive to exchange.

The Literary Coffee Chat takes place on the first Wednesday of each month at 3:00 p.m. during the winter months.

Admission is free.
