In his solo set "Boomerang," the Berlin pianist finds his own style, spanning modern jazz, sound art, groove, and clear piano melodies. As with his debut album of the same name, a highly positive energy is conveyed, evoking a wide range of associations.

The grand piano's sound spectrum is deliberately expanded by the self-made felt pedal, creating entirely new sounds. The audience is spontaneously taken on a journey, returning and arriving together, like a boomerang.
In the quintet of the "Lennart Smidt Group," elements of the album are reinterpreted, and new compositions by the pianist are heard. These particularly feature the band's interplay, giving space to all instruments, and are based on groove, polyphony, joy in playing, and spontaneity.
