The artist duo EVA & ADELE had been known since the 1990s for their lifelong performance art. EVA & ADELE “come from the future” and “Where we are is a museum,” asserted the duo, with their shaved heads and ever-extravagant matching outfits.

With Eva’s death in 2025, the performance came to an end, but Adele continues the work under their shared name. Several works are on view in the exhibition *everybody*. They reflect on the absence of a performance that not only questioned but also subverted gender conventions and role expectations.

With a text collage, Adele invites visitors to a performative reading. The curator of the “everybody” exhibition, Eva da Silva Antunes Alves, will first introduce the work of EVA & ADELE and the context of the exhibition, which explores bodies and their freedom.

For this event, the Georg Kolbe Museum is collaborating with the Einstein Forum Potsdam.

Venue: Einstein Forum Potsdam, Am Neuen Markt 7, 14467 Potsdam.

Admission is free. On November 8, 2026, participants in the lecture will be offered a free guided tour of the exhibition at the Georg Kolbe Museum. Registration for the tour will be available on the evening of the event.
