From 1 to 30 September, the cosy surroundings of the Art-Café BOHNEVILLE (Eichhornstr. 2, Potsdamer Platz, 10785 Berlin) will host a comprehensive exhibition entitled “The Leap into the Unknown” by contemporary artist Allan Paul.

With “The Leap into the Unknown”, Potsdam-based artist Allan Paul presents an exhibition of paintings and drawings that oscillate between expressive figuration and abstraction.
Paul’s paintings emerge from an immediate, powerful visual language. Strong gestures, intense colours and dynamic forms define the compositions. Figurative elements appear, then dissolve again and merge into abstract pictorial spaces. Contours are hinted at, overlaid or deliberately disrupted – nothing seems to be definitively
fixed.
The ‘leap into the unknown’ thus becomes an artistic principle: an openness to the unknown, to movement and change. The works do not call upon the viewer to decipher a clear narrative, but rather invite them to engage with their energy, their colourfulness and their gestural power.
Between recognition and dissolution, between figuration and abstraction, visual worlds emerge that appear both immediate and enigmatic. Allan Paul trusts in the gesture, the colour and the process – thereby opening up spaces for individual perception and personal associations.
The exhibition invites visitors to take this leap: into the unknown, into the open and into the freedom of the image.
