KunstHofKöpenick’s Advent concert

5th Advent concert at the Friedenskirche in Grünau on Sunday 29 November at 7.30 pm as part of the Grünau Christmas market.

The past four Advent concerts have been atmospheric crowd-pullers, so it comes as no surprise that KunstHofKöpenick would like to accompany you and them into the Christmas season once again in 2026. And this time with a wonderful and well-travelled trio.

‘How shall I welcome You?’ is the central question of the Advent season!

With a programme of both traditional and more contemporary Christmas carols, this concert gets you in the mood for Christmas. So if you’re looking to get into the right spirit or simply want to enjoy a contemplative yet joyful time with great music and in good company, this is the perfect event for you.

The concert is based on the CD ‘How shall I welcome you?’ by the singer Katrin Glenz. She is accompanied by Harald Eggert on the piano and Ralf Hübner on the violin

as part of the Grünau Christmas Market.

Katrin Glenz, alias KAT., sings her own stories, woven into songs, with just as much authenticity and passion as the great hits of pop and rock music. You are always swept away by these sounds and the depth of this remarkable woman, and you simply have to follow her until the song has faded away.

Katrin Glenz has released several albums of her own, with which she has performed as the support act for Laith al Deen and Pink; she has toured the world with musicals, been a backing singer for Lutricia McNeal, T.M. Stevens and Johnny Logan, and sung on major advertising campaigns for Volvic, Schöfferhofer, Tempo and Ferrero. She has also been a soloist for the crossover productions of the Neue Philharmonie Frankfurt for 15 years and, since 2021, for the Capitol Symphony Orchestra Offenbach.

Harald Eggert studied piano at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts. As a pianist, he moves with stylistic confidence and sensitivity across all genres, from classical to jazz, both as a performer and an arranger, and gives rousing concerts with a wide variety of artists.

Ralf Hübner studied violin at the University of Music in Würzburg and at the Carinthian State Conservatoire. This was followed by engagements at the Bielefeld City Theatre and with the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra. With the rock ’n’ roll spirit running through his veins, the tailcoat became too restrictive and Mozart and Beethoven too one-dimensional, so he moved into the crossover scene as concertmaster of the Neue Philharmonie Frankfurt. This was followed by numerous tours with Sarah Brightman, Deep Purple, Peter Gabriel, David Garrett, José Carreras and many other major stars. He recorded the string parts on many studio productions, including those by The Darkness, Farin Urlaub, Shantel Bucovina Club, KAT and many others.
