Suyoen Kim, born in Münster in 1987, received her first violin lessons at the age of five from Houssam Mayas. At the age of nine, she became the youngest student in Germany to study with Prof. Helge Slaatto at the Münster University of Music, where she continued her studies until she received her diploma in June 2008.
