Joe Hisaishi is one of the most prominent film composers of our time. Above all, his music for the award-winning films of Studio Ghibli and director Hayao Miyazaki has been captivating millions of people worldwide for decades.

With more than 100 soundtracks and numerous international awards, Hisaishi has made film history—at the same time, he has also established a solid reputation in contemporary classical music with his symphonies and piano works.
In the fall of 2026, Joe Hisaishi will finally return to Europe. As part of his World Dream Tour, he will perform at the Philharmonie Berlin alongside the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
There, as both conductor and pianist, he will present, among other works, his new suite for the Oscar-winning Studio Ghibli film *The Boy and the Heron* as well as the European premiere of his newly composed orchestral concerto.
