"Masterpieces" Concert Series

A voice that bridges worlds—and young voices that open hearts: Jocelyn B. Smith, a singer born in New York who has lived in Berlin for over 30 years, is one of the city’s most influential voices.

With a four-octave vocal range, 19 albums, and over 3,000 performances, she is not only internationally acclaimed but also deeply rooted in Berlin’s music scene. Whether performing with the Berlin Philharmonic, Tangerine Dream, Alphaville, Till Brönner, or Falko—Jocelyn B. Smith has touched generations through her music.

In this special concert at Berlin Cathedral, she joins forces with the young ensemble Unsung Vocal Soul Collective, consisting of a selection of outstanding singers. Founded and based in Berlin, the vocal ensemble was established by Florian (musical director) and Aline Magnier. Driven by a shared passion for expressive and artfully crafted vocal music, the ensemble has developed a distinctive sound that uniquely blends influences from soul, pop, R&B, neoclassical, and experimental music.

As a special guest, harpist Bonté adds a special musical dimension to Jocelyn B. Smith’s concert. With her interpretation of Stevie Wonder’s “Is It Magic,” she provides a striking highlight within the program.
