Helga Plankensteiner’s project interprets the compositions of Jelly Roll Morton, the “inventor of jazz,” in an unusual lineup of low woodwinds and brass. The arrangements bring new nuances to these nearly century-old pieces, blending jazz, swing, funk, and rock into a fresh, multilayered program. Tradition meets experimentation, warm collective sounds meet freely improvised solos. The result is a lively dialogue between early jazz history and contemporary jazz, full of energy and a spirit of discovery.

SVM3 feat. Jo Beatdenker bring together the trio around pianist and keyboardist Lana Mari (Svetlana Marinchenko) into an energetic sonic laboratory between composition and free interaction. Together with Natasha Zaychenko and Philip Dornbusch, a dense contemporary jazz sound emerges, full of virtuosity, intuitive interplay, and sonic curiosity—an intense interplay beyond stylistic boundaries.
