Seven federal states – one festival! The state representations of Brandenburg, Hesse, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Lower Saxony, Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland and Schleswig-Holstein are opening their doors for the 23rd time to welcome jazz to the historic grounds of the Ministergärten, situated between the Brandenburg Gate and Potsdamer Platz, running alongside the ‘Festival of Lights’.

Year after year, ‘Jazz in the Ministergärten’ is a much-anticipated highlight of the federal capital’s cultural programme.
When the seven state representations join forces to present the best jazz music from their regions in a unique concert event, Berlin’s jazz fans queue up in droves.
On Friday, 9 October 2026, from 7 pm, the jazz festival enters a new round, presenting over a dozen different artists until late into the evening.
