It's that time again: The two big bands, "The Big Brassers" and the Hans-Werner-Henze Music School Big Band, will be performing, bringing with them a wide repertoire of lively pieces.

The program will feature a diverse selection of music, ranging from traditional swing tunes to blues, pop, and soul. Old hits like "All Of Me" and "Straighten Up and Fly Right," as well as modern songs by Amy Winehouse, Shirley Horn, and Norah Jones, will be performed by the bands and their singers.

Both big bands are based in Marzahn and are returning to the Erich Weinert Community Library for the second time.

The Hans-Werner-Henze Music School Big Band is a typical jazz orchestra with swinging saxophones, trumpets, trombones, and a grooving band.

"The Big Brassers" has been around for 10 years. Initially founded with a small ensemble, it has grown into a large band. From beginners to professionals, everyone is welcome.

Registration is required, either by email or phone (030 54 292 51).

Admission is free; a donation to the Friends of the Marzahn-Hellersdorf City Library (Förderverein Stadtbibliothek Marzahn-Hellersdorf e.V.) to help fund the events is suggested.

Light snacks and drinks will be available.

Starts at 7:00 p.m.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Please note that photos and/or videos may be taken at some events in the City Library and may be published on the website, partner websites, Facebook, or Instagram.
