InsideBundestag is more than just a night at the theater: It is an experiment that seeks to rethink theater—as a medium that engages with the present in a hyper-contemporary way, works in a documentary-journalistic style, and operates at the intersection of political education.

The Bundestag. The grandest stage of German democracy. Here, in the plenary chamber of the House of Representatives on Republic Square, political decision-makers stage the discourse on the fate of the present. The people watch—from the visitor galleries, from their couches; through the glass dome, right into the heart of the arena of political power struggles.
InsideBundestag stages the political performance.
Within a few days, the transcripts from the current session week are transformed into a theatrical experiment that examines parliamentary proceedings: its language, its dramaturgy, its rituals. With an ever-changing cast, the result is an evening that straddles the line between documentary and spectacle. Together, we enter the House and challenge its sanctity.
