Eva Hintermaier / Simon Kalus
Bacteria are our ancestors, they live around, on and in us. In »Holobiontinnen« two performers make contact with their microbial co-world. Their access to the microcosm is very personal as well as mediated by sensors and software.
A space between cult site and laboratory emerges, in which humans and bacteria perform together. The boundary between actual contact and human projections becomes fluid.
The audience becomes involved and part of a network of microbes, humans and machines.
